midimṛjipugantalaghaūpardhācchidṛśikṣiprakṣudreṣv aṅgena ig viśeṣyate jusi sārvadhātukādiguṇeṣu ikāṅgaṃ viśeṣyate medyate abibhayuḥ ikaḥ iti kim āt sandhyakṣaravyañjanānāṃ mā bhūt yānam glāyati punar yat kāryaṃ tallakāre ṅiti na bhavati iti dīdhīvevyoḥ iṭaś ca ye guṇavṛddhī prāpnutaḥ te na bhavataḥ ādīdhyanam ādīdhyakaḥ āvevyanam āvevyakaḥ iṭaḥ khalv api kaṇitā śvaḥ raṇitā śvaḥ vṛddhir iṭo na sambhavati iti laghūpadhaguṇasyātra pratiṣedhaḥ bhinnajātīyair ajbhir avyavahitaḥ śliṣṭoccāritā halaḥ saṃyogasaṃjñā bhavanti samudāyaḥ sañjñī jātau cedaṃ bahuvacanam tena dvayor bahūnāṃ ca hotṛkāraḥ ubhayoḥ ṛvarṇasya ṝvarṇasya cāntaratamaḥ savarṇo dīrgho nāsti iti ṛkāra eva dīrgho bhavati savarṇapradeśāḥ akaḥ savarṇe dīrghaḥ ity evamādayaḥ īt ūt et ityevamantaṃ dvivacanaṃ śabdarūpaṃ pragṛhyasañjñaṃ bhavati agnī iti vāyū iti māle iti pacete iti īd ūd et iti kim vṛkṣāv atra plakṣāv atra dvivacanam iti kim kumāryatra kiśoryatra taparakaraṇam asaṃdehārtham pragṛhyapradeśāḥ plutapragṛhyā aci nityam ity evamādayaḥ īdādīnāṃ pragṛhyatve maṇīvādīnāṃ pratiṣedho vaktavyaḥ maṇīvoṣṭrasya lambete priyau vatsatarau mama dampatīva jampatīva rodasīva adasaḥ sambandhī yo makāras tasmāt pare īdūdetaḥ pragṛhyasañjñā bhavanti amī atra amī āsate amū atra amū āsāte ekārasya udāharaṇaṃ na asti adasaḥ iti kim śamyatra dāḍimyatra māt iti kim amuke 'tra śe ity etat pragṛhyasañjñaṃ pragṛhyasañjñaṃ bhavati adhyasyāṃ māmakī tanū māmakyāṃ tanvām iti prāpte māmakyāṃ māmakī iti tanvām tanū iti somo gaurī adhi śritaḥ īdūtau iti kim priyaḥ sūrye priyo agnā bhavāti agniśabdāt parasyāḥ saptamyāḥ ḍādeśaḥ saptamīgrahaṇaṃ kim dhītī matī suṣṭutī dhītyā matyā suṣṭutyā iti prāpte arthagrahaṇaṃ kim vāpyaśvaḥ nadyātiḥ taparakaraṇam īdūtau saptamīty eva lupte 'rthagrahaṇād bhavet pūrvasya cet savarṇo 'sāvāḍāmbhāvaḥ prasajyate vacanādyatra dīrghatvaṃ tatra api sarasī yadi jñāpakaṃ syāt tadantatve mā vā pūrvapadasya bhūt dārūpāś catvāro dhātavaḥ dhārūpau ca dvau dābdaipau varjayitvā ghusañjñakā bhavanti ḍudāñ praṇidadāti dāṇ praṇidātā ḍudhāñ praṇidadhāti dheṭ praṇidhayati vatso mātaram adāp iti kim dāp lavane dātaṃ barhiḥ daip śodhane avadātaṃ mukham ghupradeśāḥ ghumāsthāgāpājahātisāṃ hali ity evamādayaḥ asahāyasya ādyantopadiṣṭāni kāryāṇi na sidhyanti iti ayamatideśa ārabhyate saptamyarthe vatiḥ ādāviva ante iva ekasmin api kāryaṃ bhavati yathā kartavyam ity atra pratyayādyudāttatvaṃ bhavati evam aupagavam ity atra api yathā syāt yathā vṛkṣābhyām ity atra ato 'ṅgasya dīrghatvam evam ābhyām ity atra api yathā syāt ekasmin iti kim sabhāsaṃnayane bhavaḥ sābhāsaṃnayanaḥ ākāram āśritya vṛddhasañjñā na bhavati tarap tamap ity etau pratyayau ghasañjñau bhavataḥ kumāritarā ghapradeśāḥ gharūpakalpacelaḍbruvagotramatahateṣu ṅyo 'nekāco hrasvaḥ ity evamādayaḥ bahu gaṇa vatu ity ete saṅkhyāsañjñā bhavanti bahukṛtvaḥ bahudhā bahukaḥ bahuśaḥ gaṇakṛtvaḥ gaṇadhā gaṇakaḥ gaṇaśaḥ tāvatkṛtvaḥ tāvaddhā tāvatkaḥ tāvacchaḥ katikṛtvaḥ katidhā katikaḥ katiśaḥ bahugaṇaśabdayor vaipulye saṅghe ca vartamānayor iha grahaṇaṃ nāsti saṅkhyāvācinor eva bhūryādīnāṃ nivṛttyarthaṃ saṅkhyāsañjñā vidhīyate ardhapūrvapadaśca pūraṇapratyayāntaḥ saṅkhyāsañjño bhavati iti vaktavyaṃ samāsakanvidhyartham ardhapañcamaśūrpaḥ ardhaṃ pañcamaṃ yeṣām iti bahuvrīhau kṛte ardhapañcamaiḥ śūrpaiḥ krītaḥ taddhitārtheti samāsaḥ tatra diksaṅkhye sañjñāyām ity anuvṛttes tataḥ saṅkhyāpūrvasya dvigusañjñāyāṃ śūrpād añ anyatarasyām iti añ ṭhañ ca adhyardhapūrvadvigor lugasañjñāyām iti luk ardhapañcamakaḥ saṅkhyāpradeśāḥ saṅkhyā vaṃśyena ity evamādayaḥ strīliṅganirdeśāt saṅkhyeti sambadhyate ṣakārāntā nakārāntā ca yā saṅkhyā sā ṣaṭsañjñā bhavati ṣakārāntā tāvatṣaṭ tiṣṭhanti ṣaṭ paśya nakārāntaḥ pañca sapta nava daśa antagrahaṇam aupadeśikārtham teneha na bhavati śatāni sahasrāṇi aṣṭānām ity atra nuḍ bhavati ṣaṭpradeśāḥ ṣaḍbhyo luk ity evamādayaḥ ḍatyantā yā saṅkhyā sā ṣaṭsañjñā bhavati kati tiṣṭhanti kati paśya ktaś ca ktavatuś ca ktaktavatū pratyayau prayojanam sarvanāmnas tṛtīyā ca iti ubhābhyāṃ hetubhyāṃ vasati ubhayoḥ hetvoḥ vasati ubhaye ubhayasmai ubhayasmāt ubhayeṣām ubhayasmin ḍatara ḍatama katarasmai katamasmai itarasmai anyasmai tvaśabdo 'nyavācī svarabhedād dviḥ paṭhitaḥ ekaḥ udāttaḥ dvitīyo 'nudāttaḥ kecit takārāntam ekaṃ paṭhanti tva tvat iti dvāv api ca anudāttau iti smaranti nema nemasmai vakṣyamāṇena jasi vibhāṣā bhavati neme nemāḥ iti sama samasmai kathaṃ yathāsaṅkhyam anudeśaḥ samānām same deśe yajeta iti samasya sarvaśabdaparyāyasya sarvanāmasaṃjñeṣyate na sarvatra pūrvaparāvaradakṣiṇottarāparādharāṇi vyavasthāyām asaṃjñāyām svam ajñātidhanākhyāyām antaraṃ bahiryogopasaṃvyānayoḥ tyad tad yad etad idam adas eka dvi yuṣmad asmad bhavatu kim sarvādiḥ sarvanāmapradeśāḥ sarvanāmnaḥ smai ity evamādayaḥ na bahuvrīhau iti pratiṣedhaṃ vakṣyati tasmin nitye pratiṣedhe prāpte vibhāṣeyam ārabhyate diśāṃ samāsaḥ diksamāsaḥ digupadiṣṭe samāse bahuvrīhau vibhāṣā sarvādīni sarvanāmasañjñāni bhavanti uttarapūrvasyai uttarapūrvāyai dakṣiṇapūrvasyai dakṣiṇapūrvāyai diggrahaṇaṃ kim na bahuvrīhau iti pratiṣedhaṃ vakṣyati tatra na jñāyate kva vibhāṣā kva pratiṣedhaḥ iti diggrahaṇe punaḥ kriyamāṇe jñāyate digupadiṣṭasamāse vibhāṣā anyatra pratiṣedhaḥ iti samāsagrahaṇaṃ kim samāsa eva yo bahuvrīhiḥ tatra vibhāṣā yathā syāt bahuvrīhivad bhāvena yo bahuvrīhiḥ tatra mā bhūt dakṣiṇadakṣiṇasyai dehi bahuvrīhau iti kiṃ dvandve vibhāṣā mā bhūt dakṣiṇottarapūrvāṇām iti dvandve ceti nityaṃ pratiṣedho bhavati sarvanāmasañjñāyāṃ tadantavidher abhyupagamād bahuvrīher api sarvādyantasya sañjñā syāt iti pratiṣedha ārabhyate bahuvrīhau samāse sarvādīni sarvanāmasañjñāni na bhavanti priyaviśvāya priyobhayāya dvyanyāya tryanyāya iha ca tvatkapitṛkaḥ matkapitṛkaḥ ityakaj na bhavati bahuvrīhau iti vartamāne punarbahuvrīhigrahaṇaṃ bhūtapūrvamātre 'pi pratiṣedho yathā syāt vastrāntaravasanāntarāḥ iti tṛtīyāsamāse sarvādīni sarvanāmasañjñāni na bhavanti māsapūrvāya saṃvatsarapūrvāya dvyahapūrvāya tryahapūrvāya samāse iti vartamāne punaḥ samāsagrahaṇaṃ tṛtīyāsamāsārthavākye 'pi pratiṣedho yathā syāt māsena pūrvāya pūrvasadṛśasamonārthakalahanipuṇamiśraślakṣṇaiḥ iti tṛtīyāsamāsaṃ pratipadaṃ vakṣyati tasyedaṃ grahaṇam na yasya kasyacit tṛtīyāsamāsasya kartṛkaraṇe kṛtā bahulam iti tvayakā kṛtam mayakā kṛtam dvandve ca samāse sarvādīni sarvanāmasañjñāni na bhavanti pūrvāparāṇām katarakatamānām pūrveṇa nitye pratiṣedhe prāpte jasi vibhāṣā ārabhyate dvandve samāse jasi vibhāṣā sarvādīni sarvanāmasañjñāni na bhavanti katarakatame katarakatamāḥ jasaḥ kāryaṃ prati vibhāṣā akaj hi na bhavati katarakatamakāḥ vibhāṣā jasi iti vartate dvandve iti nivṛttam prathamacaramatayālpārdhakatipayanema ity ete jasi vibhāṣā sarvanāmasañjñā bhavanti prathame prathamāḥ carame caramāḥ dvitaye dvitayāḥ alpe alpāḥ ardhe ardhāḥ katipaye katipayāḥ neme nemāḥ taya iti tayap pratyayaḥ śiṣṭāni prātipadikāni tatra nema iti sarvādiṣu paṭhyate tasya prāpte vibhāṣā anyeṣām aprāpte ubhayaśabdasya tayappratyayāntasya gaṇe pāṭhān nityā sarvanāmasañjñā iha api jaskāryaṃ prati vibhāṣā kākacoryathāyogaṃ vṛttiḥ pūrva parāvaradakṣiṇottarāparādhara ityeṣāṃ gaṇe pāṭhāt pūrveṇa nityāyāṃ sarvanāmasañjñāyāṃ prāptāyāṃ jasi vibhāṣā ārabhyate pūrvādīni vibhāṣā jasi sarvanāmasañjñāni bhavanti vyavasthāyām asaṃjñāyām svābhidheyāpekṣāvadhiniyamo vyavasthā pūrve pūrvāḥ pare parāḥ avare avarāḥ dakṣiṇe dakṣiṇāḥ uttare uttarāḥ apare aparāḥ adhare adharāḥ vyavasthāyām iti kiṃ dakṣiṇā ime gāthakāḥ pravīṇāḥ ityarthaḥ asaṃjñāyām iti kim uttarāḥ kuravaḥ satyām eva vyavasthāyām iyaṃ teṣāṃ sañjñā atra api nityā sarvanāmasañjñā prāptā jasi vibhāṣyate svam ity etacchabdarūpaṃ jasi vibhāṣā sarvanāmasañjñaṃ bhavati na cej jñātidhanayoḥ sañjñārūpeṇa vartate sve putrāḥ svāḥ putrāḥ sve gāvaḥ svā gāvaḥ ātmīyāḥ ity arthaḥ jñātipratiṣedhaḥ iti kim dhūmāyanta iva aśliṣṭāḥ prajvalanti iva saṃhatāḥ ulmukāni iva me 'mī svā jñātayo bharatarṣabha adhanākhyāyām iti kim prabhūtāḥ svā na dīyante prabhūtāḥ svā na bhujyante prabhūtāni dhanāni ity arthaḥ atra api pūrveṇa nityā sarvanāmasañjñā prāptā sā jasi vibhāṣyate antaram ity etacchabdarūpaṃ vibhāṣā jasi sarvanāmasañjñaṃ bhavati bahiryoge upasaṃvyāne ca gamyamāne antare gṛhāḥ antarāḥ gṛhāḥ nagarabāhyāś cāṇḍālādigṛhā ucyante upasaṃvyāne antare śāṭakāḥ antarāḥ śāṭakāḥ upasaṃvyānaṃ paridhānīyam ucyate na prāvaraṇīyam bahiryogopasaṃvyānayoḥ iti kim anayoḥ grāmayor antare tāpasaḥ prativasati tasmin antare śītāny udakāni madhyapradeśavacano 'ntaraśabdaḥ gaṇasūtrasya cedaṃ pratyudāharaṇam apurīti vaktavyam antarāyāṃ puri vasati vibhāṣāprakaraṇe tīyasya vā ṅitsu sarvanāmasañjñā ity upasaṃkhyānam dvitīyasmai dvitīyāya tṛtīyasmai tṛtīyāya svarādīni śabdarūpāṇi nipātāśca avyayasañjñāni bhavanti svar antar prātar ete antodāttāḥ paṭhyante punar ādyudāttaḥ sanutar uccais nīcais śanais ṛdhak ārāt ṛte yugapat pṛthak ete 'pi sanutarprabhṛtayo 'ntodāttāḥ paṭhyante hyas śvas divā rātrau sāyam ciram manāk īṣat joṣam tūṣṇīm bahis āvis avas adhas samayā nikaṣā svayam mṛṣā naktam nañ hetau addhā iddhā sāmi ete 'pi hyasprabhṛtayo 'ntodāttāḥ paṭhyante vatvadantam avyayasañjñaṃ bhavati brāhmaṇavat kṣatriyavat san sanāt sanat tiras ete ādyudāttāḥ paṭhyante antarāyam antodāttaḥ antareṇa jyok kam śam sanā sahasā vinā nānā svasti svadhā alam vaṣaṭ anyat asti upāṃśu kṣamā vihāyasā doṣā mudhā mithyā ktvātosuṅkasunaḥ kṛnmakārāntaḥ sandhyakṣarāntaḥ avyayībhāvaś ca purā mitho mithas prabāhukam āryahalam abhīkṣṇam sākam sārdham samama namas hiruk tasilādiḥ taddhita edhācparyantaḥ śastasī kṛtvasuc suc āsthālau cvyarthāśca am ām pratān praṣān svarādiḥ nipātā vakṣyante prāgrīśvarān nipātāḥ iti ca vā ha aha eva evam ityādayaḥ avyayapradeśāḥ avyayād āpsupaḥ ity evamādayaḥ avyayam ity anvarthasañjñā sadṛśaṃ triṣu liṅgeṣu sarvāsu ca vibhaktiṣu vacaneṣu ca sarveṣu yanna vyeti tadavyayam taddhitāntaḥ śabdo 'sarvavibhaktiḥ avyayasañjño bhavati yasmāt na sarvavibhakter utpattiḥ so 'sarvavibhaktiḥ tataḥ yataḥ tatra yatra tadā yadā sarvadā sadā taddhitaḥ iti kim ekaḥ dvau bahavaḥ asarvavibhaktiḥ iti kim aupagavaḥ aupagavau aupagavāḥ kṛd yo makārāntaḥ ejantaś ca tadantaṃ śabdarūpam avyayasañjñaṃ bhavati svāduṅkāraṃ bhuṅkte saṃpannaṃkāraṃ bhuṅkte lavaṇaṃkāraṃ bhuṅkte ejantaḥ vakṣe rāyaḥ tā vām eṣe rathānām kratve dakṣāya jīvase jyok ca sūryaṃ dṛśe vakṣe iti vaceḥ tumarthe sesenase iti sepratyaye kutve ṣatve ca kṛte rūpam eṣe iti iṇaḥ sepratyaye guṇe ṣatve ca kṛte rūpam jīvase iti jīveḥ ase pratyaye rūpam dṛśe iti dṛśeḥ kenpratyayo nipātyate dṛśe vikhye ca iti antagrahaṇam aupadeśikapratipattyartham iha mā bhūt ādhaye cikīrṣave kumbhakārebhyaḥ iti ktvā tosun kasun ity evamantaṃ śabdarūpam avyayasañjñaṃ bhavati kṛtvā hṛtvā tosun vyuṣṭāyāṃ purā sūryasyodeto rādheyaḥ purā vatsānāmapākartoḥ bhāvalakṣaṇe stheṇkṛñvadi iti iṇaḥ kṛñaś ca tosun pratyayaḥ kasun sṛpitṛdoḥ kasun purā krūrasya visṛpo virapśin purā jatrubhya ātṛdaḥ avyayībhāvasamāso 'vyayasañjño bhavati kiṃ prayojanam luṅmukhasvaropacārāḥ luk upāgni pratyagni śalabhāḥ patanti mukhasvaraḥ upāgnimukhaḥ pratyagnimukhaḥ mukhaṃ svāṅgam ity uttarapadāntodāttatvaṃ prāptam nāvyayadikśabda iti pratiṣidhyate tasmin pratiṣiddhe pūrvapadaprakṛtisvara eva bhavati upacāraḥ upapayaḥkāraḥ upapayaḥkāmaḥ visarjanīyasthānikasya sakārasya upacāraḥ iti sañjñā tatra avyayībhāvasya avyayatve ataḥ kṛkamikaṃsakumbhapātrakuśākarṇīṣv anavyayasya iti paryudāsaḥ siddho bhavati sarvam idaṃ kāṇḍaṃ svarādāv api paṭhyate punarvacanam anityatvajñāpanārtham tena ayaṃ kāryaniyamaḥ siddho bhavati iha ca purā sūryasyodeto rādheyaḥ purā krūrasya visṛpo virapśin iti na lokāvyayaniṣṭhākhalarthatṛnām iti ṣaṣṭhīpratiṣedho na bhavati śi ity etat sarvanāmasthānasaṃjñaṃ bhavati kim idaṃ śi iti jaśśasoḥ ṣiḥ iti śiḥ ādeśaḥ kuṇḍāni tiṣṭhanti kuṇḍāni paśya dadhīni madhūni trapūṇi jatūni sarvanāmasthānapradeśāḥ sarvanāmasthāne ca asaṃbuddhau ity evamādayaḥ suṭ iti pañca vacanāni sarvanāmasthānasañjñāni bhavanti napuṃsakād anyatra napuṃsake na vidhiḥ na pratiṣedhaḥ tena jasaḥ śeḥ sarvanāmasthānasañjñā pūrveṇa bhavaty eva rājā rājānau rājānaḥ rājānam rājānau suṭ iti kim rājñaḥ paśya anapuṃsakasya iti kim sāmanī vemanī na iti pratiṣedhaḥ vā iti vikalpaḥ tayoḥ pratiṣedhavikalpayoḥ vibhāṣā iti sañjñā bhavati itikaraṇo 'rthanirdeśārthaḥ vibhāṣāpradeśeṣu pratiṣedhavikalpāv upatiṣṭhete tatra pratiṣedhena samīkṛte viṣaye paścād vikalpaḥ pravartate ubhayatravibhāṣāḥ prayojayanti vibhāṣā śveḥ śuśāva śiśvāya śuśuvatuḥ śiśviyatuḥ vibhāṣāpradeśāḥ vibhāṣā śveḥ ity evamādayaḥ acaḥ iti nirdhāraṇe ṣaṣṭhī jātau cedam ekavacanam acāṃ saṃniviṣṭānām antyād acaḥ paro mid bhavati sthāneyogapratyayaparatvasya ayam apavādaḥ viruṇaddhi muñcati payāṃsi mitpradeśāḥ rudḥādibhyaḥ śnam ity evamādayaḥ masjer antyāt pūrvaṃ numam icchanty anuṣaṅgasaṃyogādilopārtham magnaḥ magnavān maṅktā maṅktum eci iti nivṛttam aci ity anuvartate āṭaḥ paro yo ac aci ca pūrvo ya āṭ tayoḥ pūrvaparayoḥ āḍacoḥ sthāne vṛddhir ekādeśo bhavati aikṣiṣṭa aikṣata ārdhnot cakāro 'dhikavidhānārthaḥ usi omāṅoś ca iti pararūpabādhanārthaḥ ā ūḍhā oḍhā tām aicchat auḍhīyat
