ग्रन्थागाराः
The houses that hold the manuscripts.
Libraries, monastic archives, and digitization initiatives — each cited on the folio.
A manuscript indexed here lives, physically, in a repository. The repository’s shelf-mark is part of the record. The shelf-mark, the IIIF manifest, the catalog citation, and the conservation status all travel with the manuscript through the archive. When a peer institution releases a new shelf-mark or amends a folio count, the change propagates through the same federation channel that brought the record in.
Repository pages list the institution’s public collections and link out to their IIIF endpoints where available. The platform never overwrites a holding institution’s record; it cites it.
