Chamba's week-long celebration of the onset of corn cultivation season. Minjar (silk tassel of corn) is offered to the Ravi river on the closing day. Ancient procession of Chamba royal deities. The festival dates to the 10th century reign of Sahila Varman of Chamba kingdom. Traditional Gaddi and Gujar tribal communities participate alongside Pahadi Brahmins.
