ISynopsis

The most famous Holi in India — celebrated for 11 days in the Braj region (Mathura, Vrindavan, Barsana, Nandgaon). Lathmar Holi at Barsana: women beat men with sticks (lathis) as men try to shield themselves with shields — re-enacting Krishna-Radha playfulness. Rang Gulal, phoolon ki Holi (flowers), and widow Holi at Vrindavan are unique traditions. Phoolon ki Holi at Vrindavan Banke Bihari temple is the most stunning.
